A HISTORICAL DOCUMENTARY SERIES

Slatersville: America's First Mill Village is an Emmy and Telly award-winning series.  This historical documentary is told across eleven episodes and has taken over a decade to produce.  It retraces the two-hundred-year history of the first industrialized mill village in America, located in the Blackstone Valley of northern Rhode Island.  Filmed across seven states and the U.K.  Slatersville is directed, produced and edited by award-winning filmmaker Christian de Rezendes, a native of the village.  The series is educating and entertaining a wide range of audiences around the globe.

Season 1 of Slatersville, episodes 1 through 5, premiered on Rhode Island PBS in the Fall of 2022.  You can stream Season One here from anywhere on the globe.  Season 2, episodes 6-11, will premiere in 2024.  This will be its final season, and the dates will be announced.

CAPTURING AN EPIC STORY THROUGH THE LENS OF TIME

Filming for SLATERSVILLE began in January 2012, though significant video was captured in 2005 and earlier.  Since then we have filmed interviews with over 140 people, 26 of whom have passed away.  In that time, we scanned over 13,000 images and uncovered historic materials never before seen by the public or by historians.  These incredible discoveries lead to our decision to expand this story into a historical documentary series.  Over 11 episodes, SLATERSVILLE will take the audience on an enriching journey from the early days of the Slater Family era to the influence of the Kendall Company's ownership and the saving of the Slatersville Mill 200 years after the founding of the village.
